How do I apply to the artists alley
You can apply to artisths alley with an electronic portfolio and an application form. The application form must be sent during the application period.
If you apply as an artist group / with a friend, fill out the form together.
The responsible person entered in the application will receive all messages centrally, and the responsible person’s task is to communicate with his group.
Application instructions
You should prepare for the art alley search by creating a free-form portfolio. A portfolio can be a website or a PDF file. You can conveniently share the file by uploading it to Google Drive / Dropbox or another similar service.
Portfolio includes
- A short presentation of the art and products you plan to bring to the art alley
- About 5-20 pictures of products and works, if necessary a concise caption opens the picture’s content
- Two artists or a group of artists can make a joint portfolio
The products can be
Prints, books, zines, games, pins, jewelry, figures, photos or other art pieces. However, it is essential that they are designed and implemented by the applicant. The artist can order his product from a manufacturer. Artists alley is not suitable for illustrations produced with artificial intelligence or discriminatory and racist content.
Prices and sales area
- Saturday 50 €
- Sunday 40 €
- Saturday and Sunday: 80 €
- Additional reseller passes: 30 €
The prices include a table, a chair and a vendor pass. The seller’s pass entitles you to sales on the art alley day and to the use of the sellers’ greenroom. The additional seller’s pass is only sold to artists with whom the table is shared.
The table can be decorated and structures can be brought to it that are sturdy and safe. All displayed products must be placed on the table.
The size of the table is 120 x 70 cm.
Selection criteria
If there are a lot of applications (more than we can offer tables), the selections are made by looking at the applicants’ portfolios. The review is done from a commercial point of view, with the aim of building an art alley of the highest quality and offering as diverse as possible. The portfolios are reviewed by a jury of volunteers, which consists of the organizers of Kotae Expo.

The items are presented as the final products would be or could be – finished. The finished product does not have to be pictured, but loose sketches or experimental works do not necessarily convey a real picture of the production.
The works show the author’s own handprint and style. The works do not resemble or imitate finished licensed products.
